Visual Art
Marvyne has always had the need to make things. She engages creatively with the world through watermedia, photography and collage. Her art is abstract or semi-abstract. It comes out of a love of light, colour, form and tactile experience. She is drawn to softness, humour, irony, subtlety, beauty and imagination, and her art expresses these qualities.
Marvyne's art education is informal, coming from books, videos, conversations with other artists, and courses at the Ontario College of Art, The Sheridan College School of Crafts and Design and The Toronto School of Art.
She is an elected member of The Society of Canadian Artists and The Colour and Form Society.
Her work is in private collections in several Canadian provinces and the US.
